Payment Policy
“A Church of the Spirit, for the People with the Spirit”
The financial ecosystem of the Ruwe Holy Ghost Church of East Africa (RHGCEA) is rooted in scriptural principles of stewardship, self-reliance, and communal uplifting. Our founders prophesied a church that would build its own institutions—a vision currently culminating in the construction of the Archcathedral at Ruwe. This policy governs all financial interactions within the Church.
1. Spiritual Contributions (Tithes & Offerings)
We believe giving is fundamentally an act of worship. Tithes, Saturday offerings, and free-will donations are given voluntarily to support the clergy, diocesan administration, and to propel the evangelical mission of the Roho faith locally and globally.
2. Institutional Contributions (Mich Higa & Pesa Maua)
A hallmark of our self-reliance is the annual and specific structural contributions expected from our registered Members.
- Mich Higa: This is the mandated annual contribution collected from every registered member. It sustains the broader infrastructural goals of the church, including educational endowments and Archcathedral development.
- Pesa Maua: Collected often during specific congregational events or feast days, these funds are critical for immediate local church welfare and maintaining the visual sanctity of our sanctuaries.
3. Secure Payment Infrastructure
RHGCEA leverages industry-standard encryption for all digital payments through the Church Management System. All mobile money (e.g., M-PESA) and bank transactions occur on secure gateways. We do not digitally store complete bank details or Mobile Money PINs.
4. Transparency & Member Dashboards
Through the RHGCEA Member Portal, all recorded financial contributions are instantly logged and tracked. We believe in absolute transparency before God and our congregation. Members can securely view their "Mich Higa" stats, "Pesa Maua" ledger, and generate their giving history statements directly from their dashboards.
5. Refund and Adjustment Policy
Given the charitable nature of church tithes and mandated institutional contributions, all payments are generally final and non-refundable. Should a member experience a duplicate digital transaction due to technical malfunction, they must contact the Ruwe Financial Administration or their local church treasurer within 48 hours for immediate investigation and reconciliation.
